Akshay Mahashabde is a seasoned engineering professional with over 20 years of global experience in energy, process design, and sustainable industrial development. Having led large-scale refinery and petrochemical projects
across Europe and the Middle East, he brings a strong foundation in systems thinking, resource efficiency, and technology-driven transformation.
Passionate about contributing to India’s policy, governance, and social development ecosystem, Akshay aims to apply his technical expertise and global exposure toward evidence-based policymaking, sustainable infrastructure, and energy transition initiatives. His experience in stakeholder management, project leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration equips him to bridge the gap between engineering innovation and social impact.
An alumnus of TU Delft (M.Sc. Chemical Engineering) a founder and an active community leader in the Netherlands, Akshay is deeply committed to leveraging his background for initiatives that strengthen India’s inclusive growth, sustainability, and public policy implementation.
