- Organizing first ever international conference of NRIs in Delhi in 1984 ; Addressed by the president and other national leaders
- Representation in Indian parliament for evolving a comprehensive policy towards NRIs ; formation of a ‘High Power Committee’ on Indian Diaspora and the creation of the post of Ambassador- at- large.
- Pioneering work the grant of dual nationality; from the first papers in 1983 till a comprehensive seminar in 2004.
- Paper "Framework for the future - Case for a New Constitution for India"
- Studies on "Transfer of capital to India and role NRIs" and "Transfer of technology and role NRIs"
- Papers on Solutions to Punjab problem within the framework of a united India
- Coordinating humanitarian efforts for Orissa, Gujarat and tsunami disasters
