Ms. Poorvi Shukla

Ms. Poorvi Shukla is a PhD student in the Mathematics department at the University of Twente, The Netherlands.

She works on the computation of seismic waves with minimal pollution error. She has obtained her Masters in Mathematics from IIT Delhi and her Bachelors in Mathematics (Hons) from the prestigious St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. She is the Vice President of AADHAAR ( AADHAAR is a non-commercial / non-governmental organisation which provides support for grass roots-level development in India. Poorvi has her roots in a village named 'Korari' in Uttar Pradesh, India. She has grown up around many strong women in her village and looked upto them. In the past she has volunteered with the group of Jean Dreze, an eminent development economist for understanding the reasons behind the plight of the rural population in Bihar with special regard to the implementation of NREGA. She is passionate about education for all and believes that it is the necessary ingredient for the all round development of a person.
